
Well I have actually shown some willpower this week and stuck to my word. I have managed to fit some brisk walking into my busy life and whats more I have actually enjoyed it.
My friends and I are walking briskly and managing to do about 3 miles in about 50 minutes and we still get to chat while we are doing it which I something a definitely can't manage at the gym!
Unfortunately we have been let down by the spring weather and have had to battle with strong winds, especially walking along the sea wall on Saturday.
We have all got our fingers crossed that the weather is going to be kind to us when we do the Star Trekk for Queenscourt Hospice in three weeks time.
I have been really focused on what I have been eating over the last couple of weeks as well. Not filling myself with fatty, stodgy foods and sticking to healthy options has meant that not only have I lost the weight I had put on on holiday but I have a great deal more energy.
I am also making sure that I eat five portions of fruit and vegetables every day. I make sure that I have eaten all these before I allow myself any treats. Most days I am finding that I am so full and have had my sugar rush from fruit such as pineapple that I don't actually want chocolate....there's a first!
