Boot Camp on the slopes

Posted by Liza Rowlands on February 12, 2008 8:29 AM |

I'm now back from my skiing holiday feeling much fitter and much more relaxed.
The training I put in before I went along with the weight loss really helped but I know there is so much more I could have done that would have eased my aching body.

It is hard to believe that I can consider a week where I am up at 7.30am every morning, followed by two hours in ski school, a break for coffee, more skiing, lunch and then more skiing a holiday but it really is one of the one of the most enjoyable and rewarding ways to spend a week off work.
Even though I am not a competitive person, you cannot help wanting to improve and push your body further to enhance your skiing and ultimately your fitness levels.
So, after a week in the Pyranees I have come back, happy, fitter, covered in bruises and about 6 pounds lighter which I consider a result!
All I have to do now is keep up the good work.
