New Year New Me?

Posted by Liza Rowlands on December 31, 2007 10:59 AM |

Another year has come to an end and I am still overweight and unfit so I am determined to make 2008 the year that is different. As the clock strikes twelve the new, dedicated and focused me is going to emerge.
In the next twelve months I am going to make some lifestyles changes that will result in a much healthier, slimmer and fitter me and I am going to share all the knowledge I gain along the way with the readers of my blog.

I am going to use my holidays, local events like sponsored walks and the Southport Visiter Fun Run as the landmarks and the first one is only 4 weeks away. Yikes.
I am going to ski for seven days non stop so I need to build up my stamina. So it's off to the gym for me.
Once you have made the decision to join a local gym and attend ( paying the monthly fee doesn't constitute getting fit!) it is really important to make the most of the facilities they have to offer.
Most will offer you one to one induction with a qualified instructor who will assess your needs and tailor make a workout programme for you. That way you won't be puffing, panting and sweating and getting nowhere.
My next step will be changing my diet, I am going to do a bit more research to find out which of the many eating plans is the best so I will keep you posted.

Go for it Liza!

Look forward to following your progress,

Love Shari
P.S. Does dancing constitute as exercise?!
